Make sure the 16-bit subsystem is running. I don't know how to
do this in 2000. Double-check that you didn't install to a path that has a long
path name.

it)

Subject: Help with Protection
Violation
To All: I did a search of the archive on this but
couldn't find anything that helped!
I'm a longtime XyWrite user who recently tried to install the
Xywrite for Windows a new machine running Windows 2000. All went well with
the installation but when I try to run the program a "Potection Violation"
windows continually pops up until I kill XyWrite in Task Manager.
Any idea of how to solve this? I've gotten XyWrite to run on
everything from NT to XP.
