Yes. But at some point, newer iterations of Firefox/T'bird (whatever)
will no longer run in the XP environment. And then you'll be forced to
make a decision: a) keep XY running on a machine which has no Internet
connection (as previously mentioned), or b) upgrade the OS to get the
necessary security updates for your browser of choice (whichever that
might be), or c) continue running older systems and take the risk of
infection.
