Syntax highlighting

I've seen that several "XyWriters" use the programm to write code. Then
maybe they would be interested in a feature I miss. Would it be possible
some kind of syntax highlighting? I know it exists HiliteTag in U2 that
highligths star/end tags in HTML/XML/SGML but I would like to see the
tags I use to write my Ventura files automatically highlighted while I
am writing. They are strings started by "@" (ANSI 64) and finished with
"= " (ANSI 61+space) for paragraph tags (for example: "@ = Head") or
strings started by "<" (ANSI 60) and finished with ">" (ANSI 62) for
text effects (italic, bold and so on, for example: ). Would it be
possible?
Obviously those characters are not used in text itself or, if they are
used, they are not balanced (=, without a previous @) or they are
duplicated to appear literally "<", ">" or "@" (in this case, I should
write "≪", "≫" or "@@"). But, in any case, they are extremely rare
and, for my purposes, it would be enough to see those characters always
highlighted. It's not necessary either to highlight the strings between
those characters.
With those characters highlighted it's more difficult to make mistakes
when I am pretagging my texts in XyWrite.
