A number of us still use III+ (and I'm one of them), though we have
learned to keep our heads down at this forum as the Fourblers are
convinced that no one in his right mind would not take advantage of the U2
package of improvements.
Flash, no one is his right mind would not take advantage of the U2 package
of improvements. And the other benefits of IV.
My own reason for continuing to use III+ is that PageMaker 6.52 has a good
III+ import filter, but not a IV import filter.
But . . . but . . . but . . . I can't think of *any* difference in what the
files have. The differences (few and arcane as they are) are in XPL code,
which you wouldn't be importing. Okay, I've thought of one: IV *allows* you
to use "+" and "-" in MoDe tags. E.g., and . So don't use
this for your MoDes. The old way still works.
Once in a while I do need one of the IV/U2 functions (such as wildcard
search/replace)
That's built-in to IV, not a U2 thing.
doesn't change the fact that PM hasn't got an import filter for the
IV-specific functions.
Such as?
