Look, Polly, I was simply parodying the typical reaction of a
user. There is no downside, no risk, no terrorism. Here's what I'd
like you to try (you don't need the Computer Guy! you can do it).
It will solve your problem (I'm hoping and praying -- naw, just
kidding).

CAll STARTUP.INT

Insert this line, somewhere in the middle of the file, among
other default assignments (if you have any):

BC default it=500,1500,8193,264,1792,8193,0,1

In other words, begin the line with func BC (copy the function
from another place in STARTUP), and end the line with
an ordinary carriage return. Quit XyWrite, then relaunch it.

That's it. One easy step to a bigger, more shapely cursor.
No dieting, no waiting around for the philande for the friend
to come home from his "trip" -- uh uh, immediate gratification!

Note that I'm assuming here that you're operating with 25 lines.
If more lines than 25, change IT this way:
BC default it=1037,3086,8193,500,1500,8193,0,1
 or cover yourself both ways, who cares -- experiment! --
BC default it=500,1500,8193,500,1500,8193,0,1
 Raise and lower the two important values (500 and 1500) to
get smaller and larger cursors. You get the idea...

If you want to be really careful, before you do this embed ≪VAIT≫
in any text, as I suggested. When you do so, it will display (in
draft mode only, not expanded mode) the current values of IT.
Copy exactly current values 3, 6, 7, and 8 into your new assignment;
modify values 1, 2, 4, and 5 only. 500 is a good starting number
for 1 and 4; 1500 for 2 and 5. You can see that that's what I'm doing
in the example lines up above.

Do it! I just tried this under v3.56, v3.57, and v3.58-B:
BC default it=500,1500,8193,500,1500,8193,0,1
-- works GREAT! Let's finish this now, then we're done with it.

NOW you can take your cursor off... Ciao (for niao)
