Re: Library Master

For those of you curious about how Library Master stacks up
against Ibid...

Library Master 3.0 is a stand-alone bibliographic database manager.
As a database it is much more powerful and flexible than Ibid. In
addition to the usual bibliographic information, it can be used
for note taking and annotation. It works quickly and efficiently,
although its interface looks old-fashioned: text-based rather
than WYSIWYG.

It will import records from a variety of on-line sources.

It is XyWrite/N.B. aware. If you use citation markers in your
text --- e.g. [Gochnauer, 1991, pp.34-36] --- when you are
finished you can have Library Master process your XyWrite file
and replace these markers with footnotes or endnotes formatted
according to the style you have chosen. It will also generate a
formatted bibliography at that time.

If you are curious about it, you can ftp a demo program from
UWOVAX.UWO.CA LIBSOFT?LIB_MASTER
The file you want is libdemo3.zip. Libinfo.txt might be helpful
too.

libdemo2.zip is version two, which didn't generate footnotes.
