U2 Wild del

I'm making some sort of stupid syntax mistake, I think, in getting the U2
Wild del to run as a program (which will, when it works, go as a line in
STARTUP.INT
Here's the problem.
wild del/nv c:\xy\x739*.sav <------ this works on command line.
[JM] 2.wild del/nv c:\xy\x739*.sav[Q2] <---- this, as a program, doesn't.
The latter produces "application error."
Isn't
[JM] 2.[Q2]
the right syntax? I have that in other programs that work. Is there
something special I need for the argument "c\xy\x739.sav"?
Thanks.
