Having just recently found the 3.58b kernel for Xy3
(http://www.escape.com/~yesss/_xypro.html), I was
wondering how it's different from 3.55 (other than
its network abilities)?

Hi, Brian. The 3.58b kernel requires a login command in
your startup.int and requires you to edit your kbd file
to compensate for the legal cloud that hovered then over
the autoreplace feature. That's why that page qualifies
its recommendation: "If you use a xyWrite 3 release earlier
than v3.55 I urge you to download v3.58b." ... Ciao. --a
