Unfortunately a XyWrite 4.0 XPL guide was never developed. Do you have the
III+ XPL guide. Many of the concepts and functions are the same, between III+
and IV. There were some functions that were added which are briefly explained
in the Customization Guide. As you run into XPL questions, please post them on
the BBS. The answer to your questions are as follows:

    VN$ is value native and is the same as VA. There is not a need to use
VN.

    PR@ is a function that will display a variable on the prompt line.
