Yes, I can vouch for the desktop option. VPC and other emulators have
been discussed fairly regularly this year, and a search on the archives
should turn up lots of useful hints for those considering a Mac.
One question that I'm not sure has been answered, however, is whether one
can still *obtain* VPC since it was acquired from Connectix by Microsoft.
Has anyone bought the software in the past year? How? Of course, there's
always E-Bay, which will often give you a luxurious range of versions.
