Delete all files in C:\XY\UD first -- empty it
(CUD/NV). Then...

You CAN save them using the *EXACT SAME* command?
  sa/nv C:\XY\UD\DUMMY.001
  sa/nv C:\XY\UD\UNDO.BAK
  sa/nv C:\XY\UD\KILL.BAK
But you canNOT
  sa/nv C:\XY\UD\DUMMY.BAK

Is that the story?
