Re: Network Error Msg; Upgrading; Printerfiles

Mr. Brady, XyWrite is probably asking you for a logon name that is internal to
XyWrite and not connected with any network. During the installation routine
you are asked to type in your name and at that point a file is created with the
.LOG extension. This file is read by STARTUP.INT to allow you access to
XyWrite. My suggestion, therefore is for you to check the XY4 directory for
any files with the .LOG extension. You should probably find a JIM.LOG file.
When prompted to log on, type LOGON JIM (or the name of the .LOG file) and
press Enter. If you need to create a logon file for yourself, you can copy
this file to any other name. You can bypass this process by including the
statement LOGIN JIM in your STARTUP.INT file. Concerning upgrades, registered
users are entitled to special pricing for upgrades to XyWrite 4 for DOS and
XyWrite 4 for Windows. Please contact our sales department, at (410)576-2040,
or leave a message for me here and I will let you know about the pricing for
specific packages. Please let me know if you need any further assistance with
the LOGON problem. Regards, Kevin Duval
