Very, very interesting. It would be choicely ironic if the detested
bloatware opsys proved a better platform for Xy than XP. Do they
print? How?
One doesn't print from Xy; the other prints to an old Canon BJ-200; had
to install a parallel port card. From what I've seen, which is a few
days worth of exposure, I wouldn't call Vista better or worse than XP as
far as Xy is concerned.
gain the ability to change typeface and window size in draft view,

Huh? I usually run in draft view, occasionally page-line, _never_
WYSIYG. And I'm blind as a bat. I use 20 point Lucida Console, and the
window sizes automatically to fit that. I also, on most machines, have
my screen colors set to black on white, which makes things really
sharp, but even in white on blue, Lucida is a nice, clear type.
I just really hate Lucida; far too dense. I'd use the raster fonts
first, and always did, but with Tame I use SimSun, with a little extra
leading (thus squaring the window more). I find a white background too
bright, but that's my taste, or what my eyes tolerate better.
