It mayn't crash, but (esp. if you try to Search in Vista--Home
Premium, and maybe OOM on this rather underpowered laptop) you
can get a message "Explorer has stopped working." You can recover
(forget how), but. And even on XP, the desktop sometimes briefly
looses all icons. They come back sans intervention, and maybe
that's just RAM-related too. All the XP boxes at te office have 1
Meg of RAM, but one has no discrete video-a mistake.
