Amusingly, I did send the wrong image.
Will send correct one.
Harry, I think you sent wrong
image. I am curious about your iPad setup. Just ordered keyboard for
it.

What I have done is to run Xy on my desktop remotely from an iPad.
Easiest installation conceivable. A little awkward for entering shifted
keystates, as I recall, unless you are using a keyboard with the
tablet.
Just learned I can do it on my iPhone, too. Amazing. See attached images,
done with the phone held in landscape mode. I can zoom in or out by the
usual pinching method.

Sadly the iDos option for the
iPad/iPhone has no option to "add a game"-- so not usable for
XyWrite. I wish someone would make a XyWrite "game" playable on
my so far fairly useless and ridiculously expensive iPad Air 2.

There are already DOS emulators for Android.
aDosBox is free, JPC x86 is free, DosBox Turbo is paid. The trick is to
get XY in a place where the DOS emulator can find it.

Whether you are running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Android, OS X, or Apple's iOS,
you can still play those classic DOS games.

I managed to get the XY4 opening screen on aDosBox but didn't have time
to move beyond that. It looked like I had to figure out keyboard
and screen display configurations. A project for another time, since I am
not particularly tablet oriented. But we don't have to wait for new
hardware. It's here.

Does this:

in combination with this:

signify that we'll be able to use XyWrite on our smartphones and
tablets?
Do pray tell.
