Do not -- repeat -- not take my word for it, because I haven't fooled
with it in years, but can you not accomplish just what you want in a DOS
window, using DOS commands like Deltree or Xdel? I'm not even sure
of the commands anymore, but any old DOS bible should give them to
you.

After looking through
the manuals, I find that there's no way to "blind" delete all
the files in a directory (i.e. DEL *.* or DEL *).
So my question is...is that actually true, or is there some
undocumented method that "everyone" but me knows about?
This must not be a particularly common need since it doesn't
seem to be covered in the archive (or at least my, probably poor, attempt
to search it didn't find anything).
