  Did you try the SIO comm port drivers by Ray Gwinn? That's what most people
use. But also, did you try the OS/2 comm programs? Like TE/2? Or
PMFAX? TE/2 definitely works a lot better than ProComm. I use that but also use
two dos comm programs and a dos fax program -- Zfax, and a dos voicemail
program, also Zfax, because that's what ZyXel puts out free, and it works fine.
And, BTW, I've had no problem running Procomm on my machine under OS/2. Did you
take the time to set up the "dos settings" correctly for that application?
  If you think your comm programs work good in windoz, try this:
Log on to a BBS, or the net, and start downloading a big file, or group of
files -- that will take, say 30 minutes. Then start printing a large document
at the same time, say 20-30 pages. Then start writing or doing a spreadsheet or
database or desktop publishing in the foreground.

  Doesn't work, does it? Not in windoz, but it does in OS/2.
