Dear Robert
I am confused because of my lack of technical understanding of
computers but
I have tried to investigate the issues before raising the issue on the
list. I
definitely need help and would appreciate your advice
In the Xywrite archives there is correspondence between Paul
Breeze and the list dated
Nov 30 2002 in which it was observed with regard to the then
current TameDos
"Tame's main purpose is elimination of CPU hogging by legacy DOS apps,
which is
pertinent in 9x as much as NT. On my machine, CPU usage with XyWrite in the foreground (in focus) drops from around 97-100% without Tame, to less than 1% with Tame. That's amazing." It was my understanding that the tremendous saving in cpu usage was based
on reduction in the
resources of the cpu being devoted to the screen. Isn't it
logical to assume that
tamedos given its focus on screen resources might solve the problem of less
than full
screen windows in Windows 7. Have the changes from Win NT to
windows 7 changed
significantly with regard to screen usage.
In your opinion can I get a full screen for Xywrite in Windows 7. If
so how and will
tamedos help.
