Re: code as an asset



Let's face it. Not many publishers and editors are going to
weather the headaches of installing Linux for this purpose, when
NB for Windows will do all the things you want to do, and will
run on any Windows computer out of the box. It is, after all,
XyWrite customized for academic authors. I run it with my XyWin
keyboard, macros, templates, etc., with minor adjustments on the
keyboard, none on the others. I for one am sick of Windows, but
the thought of installing an OS that will not run most of my
present hardware, and that will require endless tuning for a long
time, rules it out for me.
