I'll look at my series of steps and adapt them for general use. But note: This is going from fairly straightforward text with endnotes, no footnotes, in Xy 3.54 to any version of WORD. The basic trick is to make WORD load an html file as though it's a WORD file and then tinker.I'll post something, both my Xy program that replaces XyW formatting with html tags and my subsequent steps, in the next day or so. I'm sure of you can clean it up and make it better.Best,DavidOn Sun, Nov 23, 2014 at 2:54 PM, Carl Distefano mailto:cld@xxxxxxxx wrote:Reply to note from David Rosenthal mailto:davidrosenthal@xxxxxxxx Sun, 23 Nov 2014 13:45:13 -0500 David, > Using XyW 3.54 I go from a manuscript with endnotes, using a > XyW program essly to convert the XyW formatting into html tags, > bring that up in WORD, and with some largely mechanized search > steps for special things like intented block quotations, have a > good WORD doc. Takes 15 minutes to do it well, but no longer. Is this something that can be adapted for general use? Sounds like it come in very handy. Carl Distefano mailto:cld@xxxxxxxx
