XyWin Crashes

I think the source of XyWin crash reports may be twofold:
1. Win 3.1x, which was the OS when XyWin first came out, was less stable than
Win95 and magnified XyWin's tendency to crash. That was my experience. I never
did get XyWin to work to my satisfaction.
2. I wanted to use XyWin for things that XyDOS was either incapable of or
awkward about, like dragging frames and managing inserted art. I was also
working on a snaking-column newsletter. Unexpected lockups and GPFs were
fairly common. I had the feeling that I was pushing XyWin beyond some limit.
Everyone's setup is different, and it's likely that the stuff I was trying to
make it do would not bother someone else's computer. But XyWin did have a
reputation for being a tad fragile.
Given the testimonials I've seen here, I may try to find my installation disks
and install it in Win95 to see what happens.
