Mark,
Glad to hear you are up and running. Now for some basic tweaking. You
change the size of the window and the font as indicated in the attached
screen shots. Try changing the font size first, see whether the window
size adjusts automatically. There are two ways to change font and window
sizes:
1) in the Xy window itself, left-click on the icon in the top left
corner(see screen shot).
Or 2) on the shortcut link/pif (probably on your desktop--make one if
you haven't already), right click, properties (see screen shot).
After you've changed settings, Windows should ask you whether you want
the changes to apply to the current session only or permanently. You
takes yer choice and ya takes the consequences, just like real life.
To get full screen mode, once Xy is running in windowed mode, type ALT
ENTER; ALT ENTER again to return to windowed mode. You'll see in the
properties tabs (screenshots), somewhere there is a function you can
check for windowed or full screen as default. You may find that full
screen mode gives you a font which is ungentle on the eyes; if so, we'll
tweak that later. First see whether you get the windowed mode running
satisfactorily.
If no fonts look acceptible, in either windowed or full screen mode,
don't panic. Additional fonts to download are available.
Cheers,
Flash
