Carl, I don't think it's working, I don't get enough results. But I'm
still on an earlier version of vDos and my U2 may not be the latest,
so I must upgrade before further testing. Or maybe the folder I'm
searching through is just too large, i.e. there's some kind of
filesystem problem? Many thanks, Bill

If you have U2 installed, the best way to do this is with the following
not-so-user-friendly command (copy it exactly; case, however, does not
matter):
SWEEP [sv50,*.*/search term/],JM(2.se)
Note that there is no space between the filespec (*.*) and the search
term.
This recurses through the current directory and all subdirectories.
