But the problem with Redmond Rubbish is that even if you want to spend
some time sharpening the chisel, you have to spend far more time than
you should, because "Big Brother Bill doesn't think you need to know
that." So you have to spend time trolling the discussion lists to find
out stuff that should be in the docs, but either isn't or is so
scattered about under atomized headings that you cannot put together a
really workable how-to. You no doubt know all about Administrative
Shares in W2K and how they're created and their passwords set. So no
doubt does Robert. But the user just coming to NT from DOS and W9x can
spend hours rummaging though the help files without finding a coherent
answer.
