You need to change settings in the dosbox.conf file. The changes are in
the first set of settings labelled [sdl]. First I changed output from
sufrace to ddraw; you need this to be able to scale. Then change
windowresolution from original to whatever you wish to scale to. I used
1024x768. I think this has to be a recognised size, I tried some
none-standard sizes and nothing happened. ie
windowresolution=1024x768
output=ddraw
I hope that helps.

PS. I looked at printing and found a patch but could not install it on
version 0.70 of dosbox. I'm sure it must be possible. Incidentally the
patch author has also written a patch which will allow cutting and
pasting between windows and dosbox. I'm not sure how it would work with
XY but it is a promising development. The patch is here:

I recently downloaded and played around with the open software DOS
emulation Dosbox version 0.7 for Windows....
The initial
window size is small but this can be scaled up. I used 1024x768 which
worked fine, filling the screen horizontally, though not vertically.
Hi Paul,
I have also been playing with Xywrite 3.55 in Dosbox in Linux, and have found things to work reasonably well. I have even been able to get Xywrite to save simultaneously to both the hard drive and a compact flash card. From what I can tell in reading the Dosbox forums (http://vogons.zetafleet.com/index.php?c=7) at DosboxWiki (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=DOSBoxWiki), printing IS possible, but I have not yet had the time to install the patch and test it.
Though in Linux Dosbox gives me full screen, I have not been able to increase the size of the small
Dosbox window, as you apparently have done. How did you scale that window up? Did you change your
Windows settings (what Windows version) or did you adjust the settings in the dosbox.conf file?
Bob
