It certainly would not be fair use to copy Salinger's work. The copyright will
remain in effect until 70 years after his death. If you don't like the law as
it stands, write your Representative and your Senators. But the law is what it
is. You cannot put yourself above the law just because you want to, needless to
say. But I say it anyway because some of you obviously do not get it.

Intellectual property is intellectual property whether you like it or not.
