Martin, When I shell to Dos (either CL: dos or CL: dos/nv) and *exit* back
I get a blank dos box -- I mean completely empty. I use the mouse to *x*
close and terminate and when I call the program again, it does, indeed, not
have the two cursors. Whew -- heck of a workaround.

Robert, this has no effect.
Does moving the mouse cursor out of the Xy window make any difference?
This was interesting. Yes, when I click anywhere on the desktop border
that's showing, the second cursor disappears, but then I have to click back
in the dos box to activate it and the second cursor reappears.
I don't use a PIF in XP; I use a LNK. You get that by setting the
shortcut to:
cmd.exe /c d:\path\editor.exe
instead of just plain
d:\path\editor.exe
Try it.
I did. No difference with the problem at hand, but I'm leaving it a lnk (I
need to read up on the difference between the two).
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Michael
