Humbug. Look, one main trick with Windows installers is to
ALWAYS pick "Custom" installation instead of "Complete" (or
whatever the options are). Custom, by default, will be
identical to Complete; but it will generally offer you the
option to install elsewhere than Program Files -- whereas if you
click Complete, it will just proceed to install to the default
location. Moreover, Custom lets you see what options you might
have. For example, suppose you buy some version of MS Office,
and you don't even want to install Outlook (and constantly be
nagged with questions about using Outlook for this 'n that).
You can exclude it -- not install it! (Outlook is one nasty
program, IMO. But if you want to live in the Microsoft world
and sync up Emails with a Blackberry or Windows Mobile and get
your Email on your phone, then you may want Outlook. I wrote my
own app to get my Email on my phone, and I just love it.)
BTW, there are 16Gb USB thumbs now on the market.
