Well ... you want to test for "CA " or "NE " in the first (zeroth)
position ONLY, so ">=0" is wrong; you want "==0".

And you can
certainly simplify and dispense with the quaint Xy3-isms.
I guess you mean using S/Gs where I could use quoted literals.
Thanks, I've incorporated your revised code. I made one revision, saving
uppercased 00 into 91, since I use that value repeatedly in the rest of the
code, not sent in my email.
