TOGCM
Thanks Carl, that is very nice to have. I don't really need the ruler
line anyway, and not having the brightness of its elements makes Xy4
that much easier on the eyes. It's great to find that the greater eye
friendliness of the DOS environment is now available in one second. I
find switching to the normal GUI to do my email very jarring now!

Bill,
I've always wanted the standard Xy4 command line on screen, but now
I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't a way to auto-hide it?
You can't hide it altogether, but you can minimize it by hiding the
ruler and adjusting a few settings:
df p.=3
df xm=
df mg=
Pop the attached frame into U2. TOGCM toggles between a full
and minimized CMline.
