You may have an answer later in the thread, but as far as airports are
concerned, there is no problem with Xrays etc. At O'Hare they usually
make you open it up and turn it on to prove that it is a computer. This
is the only airport that I have had to do this at - even flying during
the recent unpleasentness in the middle east. I found it helps to have
the battery charged and I had a simple autoexec.bat file that just
turned on the machine that I later swapped for my "regular" file that
loaded path, devices etc.
