No! I mean the Xy3+ variable (aka "default") SL. If you did what I suggested
with the Properties, then the situation is that your desktop window is only 25
lines long, but XyWrite is delivering more lines than that, i.e. it considers a
"screenful" of lines to be more than 25. To check whether SL is your problem
(I suspect it is), command on the CMline "default sl=25", and see if that fixes
the problem.
Things would be simpler if you would explain what your setup was before you
switched over to XP -- how many lines were displayed? If you would *count*
exactly how many lines are not displayed at the bottom of the screen (how many
lines are "skipped" if you PageDown). E.g.: make a dummy file with NotePad,
and just number the lines like this:
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
etc etc up to say more than 50 lines -- carriage return at end of each line.
Then CAll the file in Xy3+, and you should see line 1 at top, and line 22 at
bottom. Now PageDown. What line is at top? If 23, then SL=25 lines per
screen. If 28, you're set for 30 lines/screen. If 48 then SL=50 lines/screen.
And so forth. Gotta subtract 3 lines because you have command, prompt, and
ruler lines at the top, so 25 line screen=22 lines of text.). Don't say "I'd
actually like more, but I can live with 25" -- say what you *want*! Then you
stand a fair chance of *getting* what you want.
