Interestingly, the problem persists in WinXP with SP1 (the latest Service
Pack)
applied. WinXP SP1 (3 Feb 2003) considerably predates Win2K SP4 (26 June
2003).
Indeed. Perhaps the next XP SP will address the problem. Just installed VPC
on my Dell in the office. We're in the process of adjusting it and loading
drivers and allocating the right amount of resources. Will report
results. Meanwhile the MS site says they will soon come out with their
version of VPC.
All this is rather like going trying to get from Manhattan to Brooklyn by
way of Cleveland. Sure hope MS gives XP the same treatment they gave Win2K
so I too can get my XyWrite back without having to leave town.
