Free Virtual PC

Maybe this is already common knowledge, but you can get Virtual PC for free
(but only free for Win7).


I learned about it from the ludicrously named "Kim Komando" who sometimes
has good daily tips (fewer now than in past years--her tips have been
dumbed down):



 "XP compatibility will work with many programs. However, some programs
can be pretty picky. In that case, there is another option.


"You can run a virtual machine. Basically, one operating system runs inside
another one. In your case, you would run Windows XP inside Windows 7.


"Microsoft provides virtual machine software called Windows Virtual PC. You
can download it for free from my site.

"Windows Virtual PC only works with Windows 7. Windows Virtual PC has
stringent hardware requirements. However, it can be made to support more
computers. Just install the newest patches for the program. You'll find
