Thanks Robert.
This wouldn't help me as I did NOT install XyWrite from a disc throw windows
XP ( wouldn't know how anyway) ; I simply copied the basic 16 files ( out of
about twenty or so) essential for operation from the atex system we had in
my old newspaper back in 1988 on single floppy. Since then I simply copy all
the files in a directory I call editor under dos. When I use it I click on
the dos and screen change to promptcommnad, I change director to editor,
type editor and work under dos.
Later if I need to file I just use notepad to paste into email and I file
into the paper.
I have no problems with older computers with windows ME, but the problem or
half text disappearing only happens with windows XP. With this too I work by
going to dos.
Is there something wrong I am doing?
help please
thanks in advance
Adel
