Re: Re trying to install xy4

Now trying to put in on a Toshiba Satellite with windows xp, installing

Can anybody offer a suggestion?
Somone said xy4 is available on the net. Would that be easier to install than from the original discs?
See previous posts about the workaround. But far simpler is to
avoid "installing" altogether by copying an existing setup. As
you haven't been running 4, you obviously don't have one. Get a
copy of the complete files/folder set from XyWrite.com or
vetusware.com, and COPY that to a folder on any partition of your
hard drive you like. (If you're not in the Antipodes or Lower
Slobbovia, and want to send me a snail mail address, I can snail
mail you a CD with the whole megeillah. But assuming you--like
everyone but me--have broadband, the download is simpler.)
Once everything is set up as you want, copy that setup to a CD or a flash drive or another partition and label it "xyinstall" or something, and the next time you need to "install", use it. (Remember to add any programs/SGTS/changes to settings.dfl, startup.int, xy4.kbd and other customization files as you make them.) And, of course, get U2 and install it.
my one problem with iiia is that I'm tired of looking at white on black, and little choice of type. Is there an improvement for iiia?

Don't know about III, but with 4 I have black type on paper white
on some systems, white on deep blue on others. (Now if I could
just reverse the colors on this dratted keyboard!).
