For placemarkers inserted in text (i.e., Nathan's
procedure), I suggest embedding the chosen character in a
non-printing LaBel or Note, e.g., or .
LaBels are conspicuous; NoTes less so (take your pick).
Both can be SEarched for, or deleted en masse with a
CHange Invisible command, in all views (including No
Markers views). They are easily made invisible by
switching to a No Markers view. Best of all, because
LaBels and NoTes don't appear in printouts, there is no
need to delete them before hitting the Print key; they
can be left in the file as permanent reference points
with no ill effect. In sum, fewer errors and less fuss.
