There is in fact a free trial version of Twinbridge at
www.twinbridge.com
Quickview comes as part of Win95. I can't say for Win98, since I
have never tried it and, using Win95 OSR2, have no reason to. QV
is a lite version. The 45 bucks for Quickview Plus is more than
worth while for me, for it will display and print every
conceivable current PC file format without opening the original
application (in other words, quickly). Its greatest use to me is
that I can display a XY file and copy it from the QVP window
directly to the Windows clipboard, a task that otherwise is a
general pain. Ideal, for instance, for putting XY text files into
email messages.
