My only deal-breaker criterion for a keyboard. Silent being a relative
terms; "cluck" is acceptable, "click" or "clack" is not. I don't care
where the function keys are; I'll find them when I need them. Happily,
most < US$20 keyboards seem to meet this criterion -- those being the
ones shipped with any computer I've used in the quarter century, or
available at Staples.

Not dissing anyone's keyboard preference, just appreciating the
additional disposable income available for things like single-malt
Scotch or high-end gin. :)
