Leslie,
AR is a function call which stands for Auto-Replace. This function is mapped
to a key (i.e. Spacebar) in the keyboard file. When the function is activated
it checks your personal spelling dictionary for replacements of that particular
word or string of characters. (i.e. asap ---> as soon as possible). Hope this
