What to do for people who might want Xy4 or XyWin and cannot get it legally

As Patricia M. Godfrey pointed out, the thread "Xy and XML" has led us to
this topic.
I too "know a couple of people who would, I think, take very kindly to Xy,"
but I agree that there's not much point in "telling them about something
they cannot get." I'd probably put it more strongly: that giving some
people access to XyWrite would be a mitzva, if it could be done.
I'm in a related but not identical position myself. During the last few
moves from one PC to the next, I've lost some of my Xy4 and XyWin floppies;
and the versions transplanted from the previous PC have grown steadily more
corrupt. I still have the _manuals_ for both Xy4 (DOS) and XyWin, but am
finding it harder and harder to use either program. Where do I go to
renew/refresh/rejuvenate my XyWrite(s) from the ground up?
Cheers

PS: I share the sentiments of whoever said recently that Nota Bene just
doesn't feel the same. I acquired it a couple of years back but just
couldn't get my brain/fingers around it. My fault, no doubt (I'm over 60,
and presumably neither digits nor grey matter are as nimble as they were
when I started with Xy3+ 15 years ago), but I dearly would like to stay
with XyWrite.
