Goodness! A lot of workaround. Just search for "DArchBit" (or "archive bit"
or "archive files" or whatever) at XySearch, and you get this:
http://users.datarealm.com/xywwweb/xysearch.cgi?xywrite/2004/msg00477.htm
and this:
http://users.datarealm.com/xywwweb/xysearch.cgi?xywrite/2004/msg00478.htm
Grab the ZIP in the *second* of these messages; there was a small revision to
the code, reflected in the second msg. Read the whole thread for information.
*OR* simply grab the ZIP at XyWWWeb:
http://users.datarealm.com/xywwweb/DArchBit.ZIP
What query are people entering at XySearch, that they get no results? The
whole discussion is about the archive bit. Therefore the query term should be
"archive bit".
There's little sense using Explorer to perform this operation, when the issue
of archived directories can be dispatched with a simple sweep of the hand in
DOS. These two BAT/CMDfiles do that, pithily.
