I straightaway zoomed there, vaguely remembering that IBM keyboards once
(1986 or so?) had function keys on the left. Of course, there's nothing.
I emailed with the shocking suggestion that they might make keyboards with
function keys positioned for touch typing. The "no" I received was
undeservedly polite, and the good man suggested I might contact a company
called Celltech for refurbished keyboards. The only Celltech I could find
was a dealer of algae [!], but Unicomp wrote again to say that a
keyboard-refurbishing Celltech does exist (in the Atlanta area) and that
its phone number is 770-263-6060. Somehow I've lost any appetite I ever
had for transpacific phone calls to American companies, so I bow out at
this stage.
