Reading the program's manual and literature again, I think
FontCreator is just for TT fonts, but
http://www.fontlab.com/font-editor/typetool/ appears to be the tool
for .otf fonts.
Michael, .otf describes a wrapper that can cloak either a PS or TT
font. (CFF is also a descriptor for PostScript fonts.) If FC really
only natively edits TT, then you really should feed it TT - - i.e.
fonts from Microsoft. But I can hardly believe this to be the case.
