   I've never used Word and hope not to, but won't it save its files as an
earlier version, one that your version of XyWrite has a filter for? And if
your document doesn't have too elaborate formatting, a last resort is to
save as an ASCII text and put the formatting back in when the text has been
moved to XyWrite.
