VA/NV is a Xy4 command; it won't work in Xy3. Ditto VA $M+6.

Your SORT command is bumping up against a built-in limitation of
Xy3. I don't think it will DeFine a block greater than 64K, much
less sort it. Times like these a copy of Xy4 comes in handy.
