GREAT IDEA & A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM!
Thank You.
I tried a number of online conversion sites:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF9OgDBwJx4pdf2doc.com
converted pretty well to .doc (not .rtf)
Tables are much better than in the txt file.
It had problems with quotes, dashes and a few things
but all in all it looks manageable.
Here are some screen shots
PDF
FILE
CONVERTED to .doc
Some text in the tables was reduced from 12 pt to 5
point
but in Word when I enlarged it to 500% It seemed like the data
was correct.
It just needs to be changed back to 12 pt again.
Your idea makes things a lot easier for me.
Any problems I find with corrupted data probably can be
fixed
by just copying & pasting from the pdf to the doc file in
most cases.
(eliminating that dreaded proofreading)
A really big advantage to converting to Word doc is the
viewing of the text.
It is much clearer and sharper than I saw when viewing the txt
file.
Of course I never thought about it till now but
I was viewing it in Editpad not Word.
I just now tried the txt file in Word
The line breaks are all messed up and it is not as
easy
to read as the doc file.
I would have never imagined that!
Utube video on this was great on these 2
sites:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF9OgDBwJx4cloudconvert.org
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF9OgDBwJx4pdfescape.com
You can edit pdf, rotate, reorder, append pdfs
BUT IS ONLY FREE UNDER 100 PAGES
google drive
could not convert the CUSTOMIZATION GUIDE from pdf 2
doc
Thanks a million for your help
and so quickly too.
All my best,
Rick

To: What happens if you export it as an RTF, Word or HTML file? One of
those might get you past the specific problem(s) you’re encountering.
