It's impossible to avoid W4W these days, because it's the basis
of most wps translating setups. It was Software Bridge that first
convinced me that having more word processors was better than
fewer.

I never tried WordPort (unless it was built into something).

Generally, word processor software has a set of two problems:
Make it easy enough to switch to but difficult enough to switch
from. The translating programs help fulfill both aspects.
