You can fault the reporting, but "I Love You" was
indisputably real. That is, indeed, "meaningful
information". The fact that it could be supplemented and
refined by consulting the anti-virus sites and reading
technical journals is neither here nor there. Look, I'm
not touting CNN; I was using it -- obviously! -- as a
metonym for the mainstream media, and contrasting it with
the "virus" alerts that appear all too often in
unsolicited e-mail from sources lacking any credentials
or authority.
