After my ASCII conversion, will this work for XyWrite 3+ (my version)?

And to clarify, what I want ultimately is XyWrite files, not Word files. I
was just in the mindset that I needed to combine the Word files before
porting to XyWrite. The Word file names are another issue. Their names are
related to content, not sequence, so one has to refer to hard copy and open
the file to see where it fits into the jig-saw puzzle.

As many have suggested, the best solution is return it to the author. But
in the belief that he was out of the loop for a while, he left on for parts
unknown before we discovered this.
